only a chosen few should and can use this but not everyone....music is bad enough that everyone wanna be R&B thugs but stop it with the using of the auto-tuner!

LOL....Like T-pain said If you can make a hit with it you can use it. For most of you who don't know this plug-in was designed to enhance your singing or fix flaws in singing vocals. It's used every day! On songs you dont even know your listening to. Majors artist like Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Ashanti, Mariah Carey have used this plug-in. T-pain uses the vocoder as an effect like the speaker box effect that all the fake ass Thugs use on records when the do phone skits talking about robbing niggas.

T-pain did not diss Ron brownz. Ron Brownz said he just opened the plug-in and used it the same day on that track and Yes it's a Hit!

Auto-tune is a tool in a large kit of tools. I use a guitar tuner before I start strumming. I use a metronome to make sure I'm in rhythm. Would anyone begrudge me such electronic helpers? I hope not. Anything that gives more people access to the creative process is welcome in this world.

Auto-tune is a tool like any other tool, it has it's benefits as well as it set backs like any one. But on the real stop the bullshit! Vocorders are meant for roger troutman and kieth sweet only bitches.

I am tired of niggaz complaining, at this point its good music and there is not much of that, If you you are tired of guns and crack. Then its T-Pain. Shit he is on everything and the message isnt positivie but its not negative. We are so far gone that we hate on feel good music, and the urge to get up and dance. We are so GANSTA WE PAY TO GET INTO SOME WHERE TO GET DRUNK, LOOK TOUGH, AND FIGHT. (STUPID). Whether your tired of the auto tuner T Pain, Lil Wayne, or Ron Browz style. Your still gonna listen to it, what else is there- R&B and Hip Hop sound the same now. Either way your gonna hear someone sing

A lot of you are making great points and since im sitting in the car with nothing to do thought I would add my two cents.
Auto-tune is a tool but tools are only as good as the ppl who use them. We know ppl like T-Paine has talent and has found a way to make auto-tune his own, but there are many ppl turning it into a tiring gimmick. Too many of them have no real talent without it. Sone person writes your song, the computer basically sings for you, soon you won't even have to go into the booth.
Kay Slay said it best (if you can believe that) using auto-tune is like not being able to play basketball but using a "tool" to get into the NBA. Just a trickless magician.
Take it how you want but with auto-tune I think they beat a dead horse with this gimmick.
